These photos of women posing with bears and elk might seem like CGI magic, but there’s no trick photography involved. Moscow-based Russian photographer Katerina Plotnikova, created these surreal shots of women and wildlife with the help of animal trainers who were armed with plenty of snacks to keep the animal models preoccupied.
The result is a stunning series of photographs that look like they came straight out of one of Grimm’s Fairy Tales. The photos would be beautiful regardless, because of the serene woodland backdrop, but with the addition of owls and foxes they’re just that much more beautiful. It should go without saying though, don’t go trying to recreate these photos with some random raccoon you find rummaging through your garbage. It’s bound to end horribly.
