Pitbull just received an honorary degree from Miami’s Doral College — and no, it wasn’t for the physics of booty shaking in a club — commemorating his support for education.
The 33 year-old Miami based rapper had some touching words on his own education and his efforts to aid the youth of Miami:
“I remember being kicked out of a public school because I didn’t have the right address. That’s why I want better schools for the kids who live where I grew up. That’s why Doral Academy was founded, and that’s why I helped create SLAM [Sports Leadership and Management Academy] in the neighborhood where I grew up…a school that offers a choice for students, like me, students who need someone to inspire them, someone to believe in them.”
Nice speeches are swell and all, but the truly great moment came with Pitbull’s graduation photo that he tweeted.
I’m sure there’s an assistant principal out there who know’s that middle finger’s for them.
