Thomas Moore decided he wanted to help after he saw his mother watching a video about a young cancer patient who had lost her hair because of chemotherapy. Moved by her story, he decided that he wanted to grow his hair out so he could donate it later. That's exactly what he did, growing it out for two years so he could make a difference in somebody's life.

15. A former Boy Scout is paying it forward by helping refugees feel accepted.
PJ Parmar's family immigrated from India to Chicago when he was just a small child. Parmar said he struggled to find acceptance until joining a local Boy Scout troop. "When I joined the Boy Scouts, I found a very accepting group of friends", Parmar told CNN. Now, he's paying it forward as the leader of troop 1532 in Denver, where nearly all the scouts are refugees from places like Tanzania, Malaysia and Nepal. The weekend trips not only give the refugee boys a safe space, but the chance to assimilate into American culture while having a lot of fun.

Tony Wood received a wrong number text of a woman in a dress and rather than simply deleting it, he responded back with his kids giving the thumbs up. Wood and his wife have six children and their six-year-old son, Kaizler is battling leukemia. The wrong number text exchange quickly went viral and news spread of the Wood family’s GoFundMe page, eventually raising $55,000 in donations.
