Tesla’s P85D ‘Insane Mode’ Causes Unsuspecting Passengers to Lose Their Mind

The Tesla P85D has a feature unlike any other automobile on the market — it’s called “Insane Mode” and man, does it ever live up to its name. At the push of a button the car goes from zero to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and as the video by DragTimes proves, it’s enough to make unsuspecting passengers need a clean pair of shorts.

Unlike the a Bugatti Veyron or Launch Control’d Nissan Tesla’s dual-motor, all-wheel-drive P85D is powered by nothing but electricity. It’s certainly a step in the right direction for electric cars that don’t exactly have a reputation as powerhouses on the road. As driver Brooks Weisblat takes each unsuspecting passenger out for a spin they question the car’s special “insane mode,” even mocking it before he hits the switch and gives them an adrenalin rush they definitely didn’t see coming. It’s enough to make full grown men scream like little girls and middle-aged women curse like foul-mouthed sailors. Elon Musk is certainly smiling.
