Fans of “The Notebook” and “Dear John” will be excited to know that the film adaptation of “The Best of Me” comes to theaters on October 17th. The love story will be the ninth film (wow, really?) of popular romance novelist Nicholas Sparks to be adapted from book to big screen. The film stars James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan and tells the story of two young lovers who are pulled apart by a tragedy only to be reunited and try to rebuild their romance 20 years later.
Besides the movie’s tearjerker love story that’s sure to leave Nicholas Sparks fans grabbing for the tissues, the film has has a soundtrack that doesn’t skip on the romance. The movie’s pop country-heavy soundtrack pulls songs from such hitmakers as Colbie Caillat, Lady Antebellum, and The Eli Young Band to help set the mood. If the trailer is a tell, romance is going to prevail once again!
