Cockiest Fugitive Ever Didn’t Like His Mugshot So Sent in a Selfie

This fugitive from justice is operating on a whole other level of cockiness. Donald “Chip” Pugh wasn’t happy with the mugshot cops were using of him, so he did what any narcissistic fugitive would do – he sent in a better selfie instead.

The 45-year-old man is wanted by the Lima, Ohio police for failure to appear in court for a DUI and connection to several other cases. And while Donald’s face may be in the press for less than admirable reasons, in his eyes that’s no excuse to not look good.

Donald saw his mugshot on the police department’s Facebook page and didn’t like what he saw, so he offered them a selfie to use instead. “Here is a better photo, that one is terrible,” Donald wrote when offering up a photo of him sporting a suit and sunglasses.

The Lima police department was happy to receive the new photo, commenting: “”We thank him for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come to speak to us about his charges.”

As of Tuesday, Donald has been arrested in Florida after somebody called in a tip – probably after hearing him talking about the mugshot selfie on the radio. Just days earlier he had told an Ohio radio station: “Man, they just did me wrong. They put a picture out that made me look like I was a Thundercat… or James Brown on the run. I can’t do that.” Probably not a bright move, Chip.

If this crime story wasn’t ridiculous enough, there’s also a “Free Chip” page on Facebook – and yes, they used his better photo.
