The sculpture called “Feltépve” (“Ripped Up” or “Popped Up”) by artist Ervin Loránth Hervé features a giant awakening beneath his underground chamber and rising up under the lawn. It’s anything but subtle.
The sculpture which is located in Széchenyi Square in Budapest is only around temporarily and part of Art Market Budapest, a yearly art fair that takes place each October. Ervin Loránth Hervé created the sculpture out of polystyrene, but ran into issues because of the uneven ground the sculpture sits on.
We think it turned out pretty well, as this is most definitely a giant that’s hard to ignore.
