No matter how good you think your city’s New Year’s fireworks display was, it doesn’t even compare to the pyrotechnical masterpiece that unfolded in Dubai.
The display was so explosive (pun intended) that it landed the spectacle in the Guinness Book of World Records for largest fireworks display. The six minute show was orchestrated using 100 computers to set off an impressive 500,000 fireworks. To save you from doing the math, that’s 1,388 fireworks a second. Hot damn, that’s a lot of sparklers!
