2013 closed on a bit of a rocky finish for Britney Spears and the new year is already off to a bit of an awkward start for the pop singer.
The December release of her new studio album, Britney Jean was Spears’ worst performing debut in her career, only moving 107,000 copies. Add on to that a wardrobe malfunction of at her Vegas show and a ridiculous ticket price for meet-and-greets, and Spears’ management team has an uphill battle for the new year.

Okay, granted this sort of thing was probably a highlight for the males in the audience that were dragged to the show by their wives or girlfriends — for a performer, it’s nightmare.
The singer’s also taken criticism from disappointed fans who shelled out a mind-boggling-what-are-people-thinking-fee of $2,500 for only a seconds long meet and greet, according to a source from RadarOnline.
“Fans were anticipating a flashy meet-and-greet with Britney but instead it was just awkward and uncomfortable. She barely spoke. She just smiled and nodded and said ‘thank you’ a lot.”
Considering the singer’s history of performance issues, all Britney really needs to say is, “Oops, I did it again.”
