The above portrait of Morgan Freeman might look like a crisp photo of the Oscar-winning actor, but it’s actually a painting.
Before you start yelling “fake.” you should know that the near-perfect painting was based on a photo of Freeman and done with a $7 app for the iPad by UK graphic artist, Kyle Lambert. The digital painting took Lambert over 200 hours and some 285,000 brush strokes to complete, and stands as a powerful testament to the power of the application used called Procreate.
