As the world mourns one of humanity’s greatest fighters for equal rights, many are finding their own ways to show their gratitude for Nelson Mandela. The Economist has launched an interactive tribute, honoring Mandela at FNB soccer stadium in Nasrec.
The digital tribute dubbed, “Mandela’s Walk” begins with a short film narrated by British poet Benjamin Zephaniah, and spotlights milestones in Mandela’s life and his impact on the world. In the film, people layout newspapers, signs, and other objects relating to Mandela, creating a portrait of the man who changed a country forever.
