If you’re looking to add an artistic creepy touch to your Halloween party this year, take a tip from artist artist Hiedi Bucher. The late Swiss artist has created some truly unique latex molds that create a haunting display.
The latex molds are a recreation of Bucher’s childhood home but bare an unsettling resemblance to mummified skin. It’s not an accident, the artist had a fascination with the relationship between architecture and the body, and used a peeling liquid latex to get the effect.
While the latex hangings are a piece of the artist’s personal history, they do evoke similarities to mummified corpses and the like. The “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” reminiscent art is now on display at the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris.
