Donated Violin Leads To Lifelong Bond Between Bronx Teen, Holocaust Survivor

What started as a New York radio station’s musical instrument drive to get donated instruments to be given to New York City public schools, one story stood out and touched our hearts. This precious story illustrates the capacity of music to unify across generations, backgrounds, and realities.

Joe’s Violin is an award-winning short documentary film of a donated musical instrument that forges an improbable friendship between 91-year-old Holocaust survivor Joe Feingold and 12-year-old Bronx school girl Brianna Perez.

This is evidence of the power of music to bring light in the darkest of times and how a small act can have a great impact.
